Working principle of start-stop battery

Ordinary car: After the engine is ignited, the car battery is always charging.

Start-stop car: When the car stops temporarily (such as when waiting for a traffic light), the engine will automatically shut down when the brake is stepped on deeply. At this moment, the high-performance start-stop battery provides power for all electrical devices in the car. When the brake is released or the accelerator is stepped on, the start-stop battery is responsible for high-power discharge to start the engine. When the start-stop battery is working, the purpose of reducing automobile exhaust emissions is achieved.

AGM start-stop car battery

AGM start-stop car battery refers to a battery with ultra-fine glass wool material used for the partition. Its structure is different from that of traditional lead-acid batteries. It is a lean battery with a small amount of electrolyte and all of it is adsorbed in the glass fiber. There is no flowing electrolyte inside the battery. It is precisely because of this unique structure that the interior of the AGM battery is more stable and the charging and discharging process is more balanced. Compared with traditional batteries, its cycle charging capacity is 3 times higher and has a longer service life. It has higher capacity stability throughout the entire service life (about five years) and is more reliable at low temperatures. And because the electrolyte is 100% sealed, there will be no gas leakage during the operation, which is safer and less harmful to the environment. Even if a collision occurs, there will be no acid leakage.

EFB start-stop car battery

EFB battery is a flooded enhanced start-stop battery, which is developed on the basis of ordinary lead-acid batteries. It can be regarded as an upgraded version of the traditional lead-acid battery. Except for the solid components such as plates and baffles, the remaining space is filled with electrolytes and can withstand high temperatures. This is why it is called a “flooded battery.”

Compared with traditional maintenance-free batteries, EFB batteries have been strengthened in many details so that they can repeatedly release strong currents in a short time and can also stably endure charging currents that are much larger than traditional batteries so that they can become a start-stop battery.

MF maintenance-free car battery

MF maintenance-free car battery adopts an advanced valve sealing design in structure, which makes the battery almost maintenance-free during use. Compared with traditional lead-acid battery factory, MF maintenance-free battery manufacturers use low antimony alloy or Pb-Ca alloy as the grid frame of the electrode plate, which increases the overpotential of positive electrode oxygen and negative electrode hydrogen evolution and reduces water loss, thus ensuring that the battery does not need to be replenished during its entire service life.

In terms of performance, MF maintenance-free car batteries have excellent starting current, anti-overcharge ability and storage time. These characteristics enable MF maintenance-free batteries to provide stable and reliable power support during car starting, driving and parking.
