The grid-connected home energy storage system consists of five major parts, including a solar cell array, grid-connected inverter, BMS management system, lithium battery pack, and AC load. When the utility power is operating normally, both the solar grid-connected system and the utility power supply electricity to the load; when the utility power is interrupted, the energy storage system and the photovoltaic grid-connected system work together to provide electricity.

There are three different operating modes for off-grid home energy storage devices:
